PIPPA JONES - having raised over £4,500 with gift aid Pippa is a star fundraiser! Pippa said she would finish even if she had to crawl. So glad it didn't come to that. A magnificent effort. Nine-year-old TOF son Isaac certainly has a star mum. Well done Pippa!
Working Hard
Winner for TOFS - Tony Crofts with almost £3,000 including gift aid. Already prolific fundraisers for TOFS, the Crofts family have done it again. At 6’4” and 18st, Firefighter Tony said he wasn’t a natural runner. Did he still think that after 26 miles of running? Thank you (again) Tony.
Well done Neil
Neil Stevens - Another winner for TOFS! Neil Stevens from Heysham near Lancaster was running for his Godson Adam Sowerby. As Adam is only a year old he's probably a bit too young to appreciate your efforts Neil but TOFS! certainly do. Thank you Neil!
Darren Strange goes the distance to raise megabucks for TOFS! What a way to celebrate your 48th birthday Darren! Your 16 year old son Jack who was born with TOF must be very proud of you. We are too. Thank you Darren.
Kevin Mayo wins for TOFS! Kevin was very kindly using his own balloted place to run for TOFS. Thanks Kevin, you're a star.
A family affair
Michelle and her husband win for TOFS. Another runner kindly using her balloted place for TOFS, we are very grateful. Thank you for a great effort Mr and Mrs Smith!
To all at TOFS, just a really big THANK YOU for being there. All I wanted was just for someone to listen and understand and you were there for me.
Jo Wright, parent of a child born with OA/TOF
We wanted to thank you again for all the support you have given us over the phone and through your newsletter, website and online forum. We have found TOFS an invaluable resource and spread the word wherever we can about the great work you do.
Joanne and John Winspear, parents
The TOFS support group does exactly what it says on the tin! It supports. And that’s a very reassuring feeling - talking to people who have been there. You guys do a wonderful job.
Rachel Simpson, parent
During my working life as a paediatric surgeon I learned as much, if not more about TOF from parents and from TOFS meetings as I did from learned journals.
Leela Kapila, past Vice-President of the Royal College of Surgeons
When I read Chew, I’m encouraged by reading about the positive side of OA/TOF and the achievements of all the children and TOF adults. TOFS, the website, the Forum and Chew have all been a marvellous source of information and encouragement for us.
Rachel and Mark Hayes, parents
Our bumpy ride has been so much easier with TOFS; just listening to other people’s experiences and knowing someone is there.
Charlie and Lesley Cochrane, parents
