supporting the families of children born unable to swallow

To all at TOFS, just a really big THANK YOU for being there. All I wanted was just for someone to listen and understand and you were there for me.

UPDATE !!!! TOFS AWARENESS WEEK 6 - 13 OCTOBER 07

TOFS 25th Anniversary

This special event is being marked by TOFS AWARENESS WEEK 6th - 13th October and ending with the Conference in Solihull on 13 October.

We want you all to join in and raise awareness of TOFS – and raise some money too! There will be lots of media interest, activities taking place all over the country and the chance to let people know just what being a child with TOF and it’s related conditions is all about. Between now and October we will be emailing you with updates on a regular basis - if you dont want to receive them just email us and let us know.

To start off we are setting a challenge …….  Can you raise £5 during Awareness week by holding a coffee or tea morning, afternoon or evening? ….. or any other fundraising event! Our target is £2000!

I’m putting together fundraising packs to give ideas about raising money and some “hot” tips for saving time and energy on the way, as well as the do’s and don’ts of safe and legal activities.
Let me know () or ring the TOFS office if you would like a fundraising pack.

In the meantime download our FUNDRAISING IDEAS document..... FUNDRAISING_IDEAS.pdf

Are any of you interested in telling your story? Would you be ready to talk to local media during Awareness Week? Let me know or ring through to the TOFS office and they’ll pass the message on.

Visit the TOFS website to find out about equipment available through TOFS. The equipment detailed forms part of a huge donation given to TOFS by the Insolvency Service (based in Nottingham) when a Nottinghamshire based charity ‘The Play Centre for Disabled Children, Young People and their Families’ closed down in May 2006. Have a look at what we have to offer!!!

If you receive this by post but could have it by email please let or know.

More coming soon…… Jenny Strickland
