Harrys goin in to have his orchiopexy and 11th dilatation on the 15th sept, he had a barium sawllow done a few weeks back and his surgeon said if he needs a dilatation he will do one at the same time as his orchiopexy….when he had the barium done the person who was doin ti said it all looked fine, however a couple of weeks later a registrar rang and said harry had dysmotilty…that’s why he was gagging etc on foods…..we suspect reflux may be back even tho he had the fundo last sept, his surgeon was away the last 2 weeks and he must have reviewed his video and seen that he needs one….we have a clinic appt next Wednesday to discuss things…oh dear I’m waffling now aren’t I hahahaa….has anyones little man had the orchiopexy? Hi Harry’s mummy and Jayne

Thanks for the giggle Jayne, I just looked it up too. It’s to make the testicle descend, no wonder you didn’t know about it!!

Jack had 2 inguinal hernia’s repaired but his testes were descended. They were both small ops and he recovered well.

He also has reflux post fundo. The problem is that if they did the wrap any tighter, he wouldn’t be able to eat as he also has barely any peristalsis. He is still taking his Nexium for reflux and we have his bed on an angle. He chews his food alot and drinks heaps at meal times. As he’s got older (5 1/2 now) he has learnt to manage his food much better and has many less stucks.

I hope all goes well for Harry with his op, I’m sure it will.
