Hi,
Yes, I had that when I was 15 (25 years ago). I have a colon interposition to fix my OA. When I was 12 I had to have adhesions in the bowel separated. Then at 15 a portion of bowel twisted and cut off the blood supply. The loop that formed had to be removed. I think it might be due to the fact that our bowels have been moved around which can lead to adhesions forming. Adhesions are caused by scar tissue and in the past by the powdery stuff that came off the surgeons gloves. The powder has not fingered for quite some time as a different material is used in operating gloves for just that reason. Scar tissue is unavoidable after surgery.

It is a very painful condition.
I hope son or daughter is on the mend.
Best wishes
Sophie
