I’m a 14 year old girl and looking at the forums I have found a severe lack of teenagers. I am just looking for other TOF kids to talk about the sort of things we have to deal with. Because its a well known fact that teenagers can be the cruellest people on earth (I’m betting that if Hitler had to deal with hormones he would have done a lot more damage). We already have the whole growing up thing to deal with without bearing TOFness on our owns. So anyone who wants to share experiences or ask questions then please don’t be shy. No ones gonna laugh at you here. Thanks.

Well done Marvel-Girl..
I’m not a teenager but I wanted to say I admire and salute you - we parents of young TOF children (my son, Laurie, nearing 18mths) rely on people like you to help us deal with what is to come and help us understand what is likely to go through the minds of our ‘babies’ when then reach the teenage years.

Be proud of your scars.. we are of our boy’s.. We intend to help him grow up tall and strong, and a boy who will be proud to show off his war wounds and not afraid to be that little bit different..

We need people like you.. living and growing proof that the first few up and down years do mature into healthy strong children, proud of who they are and where they have come from..

Kindest regards
Rach, Mark & Laurie..

to Rach, Mark and Laurie,
This is just to say a thanks and that I’m sure little laurie will grow up to be all you imagine of him. and that by then there might be more teenagers on this site for him to share all his experiences with, good and bad.

Heya Marvel_Girl,
I’m Shannon, I am 13, and I also wonder why there are hardly any teenagers on this site. I am also looking to see if anyone wants to talk about what we have to deal with. And I agree with your Hitler statement.smile
I also wear my scars with pride, and I am dealing with my battle, a very annoying battle, if I say so myself. So if you wanted to get in touch, and even though you are older than me want to ask questions that would be fine. Or if you wanted to talk about your experiences that would be great. smile
    Shannon
Hope to hear from you.

Hi I am Alex. I am using my mum’s login at the moment because I only just joined. I am going to have a Nissens Fundiplication in May but other than that I am OK. It’s great that there are other girls around my age (13) who have experienced similar things.

I’m back again!(sorry I just remembered some stuff I wanted to say) Do you both have really loud coughs. Also people used to tease me about that a tiny bit but not anymore. I have to take two weeks of school for my operation so I wondered if you have ever had to miss loads of school before. I agree with your opinion about scars. smile
